Job Description

As an Advanced Practice Provider II, Pediatric Nephrology, Inpatient Consult, you will be working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients who suffer from renal disorders. You will demonstrate a high degree of critical thinking and clinical expertise in working with pediatric patients in the inpatient setting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing or Higher degree and Documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program and Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population
  • Master's degree graduate of a Master’s or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Advanced Practice RN (CPNP-AC) by Texas State Board of Nursing upon hire and authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and certified licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board (PA-C) upon hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers upon hire
