Role Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider at Prevea is an advanced practice nurse (NP) or physician assistant (PA) prepared to deliver health care services to patients, families, and groups emphasizing the promotion of health and prevention of disease under direct supervision and responsibility of physicians.

What You Will Do

Provides assessment, evaluation, and management to patients with minor, acute, chronic, and episodic illness and injuries. Collaborates with patients to review their health background and determine physiological, emotional, and environmental needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a master's level nurse practitioner program OR graduate from an accredited physician assistant program
  • 1-3 years work experience in a clinical setting within a health care organization
  • Current Wisconsin RN license or compact equivalent (nurses must maintain or update their primary state of residence to Wisconsin to ensure continued eligibility under the compact)
  • Certification through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Board (AANPCB)
  • Licensed by the state of Wisconsin as a Physician Assistant
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
  • CPR/Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program
