Role OverviewSt. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician assistant in the CVT- Critical Care. The individual in the role will promote excellence in patient care by advancing the quality, efficient, and cost-effective care.
What You Will Do
Daily hospital rounds with physician, dictating patient’s admission history and physical, ordering laboratory tests and diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and treatment plans, performing minor bedside procedures, and communicating patient status and needs to the attending physician.

Requires a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant program, current licensure in the State of West Virginia, and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant program
- Current licensure in the State of West Virginia
- Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner NP-BC/National Certification in Physician Assistant (PANCE)PA-C
- Certification: ACLS
- Prescriptive Privileges: Comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges.
- Two (2) years experience preferred as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Two (2) years as a Critical Care RN or Nurse Practitioner preferred
