Job Description
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an Advanced Training Instructor to work at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA). The instructor will develop and instruct advanced law enforcement training courses, manage classroom environments, and maintain subject matter expertise. The position requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, adult education, or a comparable field, and 5 years of full-time experience in law enforcement. The instructor will report to work in-person at OPOTA in London, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Develop, organize, coordinate, implement, and instruct advanced law enforcement training courses and programs
  • Maintain and demonstrate subject matter expertise in field(s) of responsibility
  • Manage in person and virtual classroom environments
  • Identify external subject matter experts in field(s) of responsibility
  • Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in the use of audio/visual equipment and online training platforms
