Job Description
WEAVE is a non-profit organization that provides services to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The Intermittent Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Advocate provides crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referral, and follow-up services to survivors of sexual assault.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Experience in the social services field is preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding client information
  • Ability to respond to Sutter BEAR Clinic/hospital within the established timeframe, per agency policy and state law
  • Communicate advance notice (if possible) to the SART Advocate if unable to respond during a scheduled time slot. Attempt to find coverage if needed
  • Complete WEAVE's 69-hour peer counselor training program and pass background check (post-hiring requirement)
  • Annual completion of WEAVE's continuing education requirements to maintain Peer Counselor certification
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation, including vehicle insurance
