Job Description
Environmental Engineer 4 position open to permanent employees in the Division of Air Quality and Radiation Protection. The role involves supervising professional or non-professional staff in performing engineering work, including water management, air pollution control, and hazardous waste control. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and four years of professional experience in environmental engineering work, including one year of supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Ocean, Coastal, Bio-Resource, Sanitary, Industrial, Agricultural or Mining Engineering, or other field of engineering related to the environment.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in environmental engineering work, one (1) year of which shall have included supervisory responsibilities including preparation of employee evaluations of staff involved in engineering work.
  • Valid Professional Engineer's license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
