Role OverviewThe After School Aide helps the After School Teacher to strengthen academic, physical, and social skills by providing academic support, enriching programming, and fostering relationships. The After School Aide works with the Teacher to support the daily functions of the classroom and provide a safe and educational environment for all students.
What You Will Do
Support students with daily homework help, implement daily enrichment and centers activities, maintain a neat and organized learning environment, and participate in arrival and dismissal procedures.

- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, calm attitude

- Sensitivity to work with a multi-cultural community
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills
- Must possess initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team member and to be highly flexible
- Ability and willingness to work afternoon and evening hours and occasional Friday hours
- Familiarity with academic content for elementary aged students preferred
- Act 33/34, NSOR, and FBI clearances
- CPR & first-aid certified
- Completed Mandated Reporter Training and agreement to comply as a Mandated Reporter
