After School Program Director

Requirements

• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.
• New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or another office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field of work.
• Medically fit to rock all the job duties and free of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills are your jam, whether it's with kiddos, parents, or fellow team members.
• Professional, reliable, and always prompt.
• Ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with energetic kiddos!
