Role OverviewThe Afterschool Program Leader will work directly with students, guiding them through social-emotional learning, homework help, enrichment activities, and new adventures every day. The role is part-time, non-exempt, and reports to the Site Coordinator of the school site.
What You Will Do
A typical day for a Program Leader includes greeting and welcoming kids, organizing and leading activities, maintaining a secure environment, and encouraging participation and enthusiasm.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a good communicator, able to talk to both kids and parents comfortably, and have at least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed or passing an academic proficiency exam
- TB test and negative result
- Live Scan background check
- Covid-19 vaccination documentation (if required by the school)
