Role Overview

As an Afterschool Program Leader, you will work directly with students, guiding them through social-emotional learning, homework help, enrichment activities, and new adventures every day. You will lead activities, create unique clubs, and maintain a secure environment while adapting to students' diverse needs and interests.

What You Will Do

A typical day for a Program Leader includes greeting and welcoming kids, organizing and leading activities, joining in enrichment activities, and creating unique clubs. You will also maintain a secure environment, oversee student safety, and encourage participation and enthusiasm.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
  • College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed or passing an academic proficiency exam.
  • TB test (negative result) and passing a Live Scan background check.
  • Covid-19 vaccination documentation (if required by the school).
