Job Description
The Agency Attorney will represent the Department in a variety of legal matters and day-to-day duties will vary based on assignment. The agency attorney will provide legal advice to Department personnel on active criminal matters and investigations, conduct legal research on laws and regulations relating to the Department, and recommend areas for policy improvement and risk management.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar
  • Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086)
  • Members of the New York State Bar in good standing
