Role OverviewThe Agronomy Mechanic / Applicator will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment, and will also work as an applicator making fertilizer and/or chemical applications to crops in farm fields during the growing season. The role will involve working with other Country Vision Cooperative employees on a daily basis and communicating effectively with agronomists and other team members.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities of this role will change throughout the year, depending on the seasonal needs. The Agronomy Mechanic / Applicator will be responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment, making deliveries to farms of liquid and dry fertilizers or other products, and using computer software for field mapping, crop planning, and record keeping of customer operations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of prior mechanic experience, a valid Class A CDL (or ability to obtain one), and a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license. The candidate should also possess a conscientious attitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
