Job Description
The Aide Special Education ECSE EIA will provide direct support/services to students with significant cognitive disabilities in a variety of educational settings, assisting teacher and staff in performing tasks and maintaining accurate data collection on goals and objectives in the student's Individualized Education Plan.

Requirements

  • Interact with students in a variety of settings to ensure student safety and engagement
  • Assist with classroom management and behavioral strategies
  • Implement academic/functional lessons under the guidance and direction of the teacher
  • Assist students with personal care services
  • Record service implementation on approved logs and collect data on IEP targets and behavior
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Prepare instructional materials and attend staff development training
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
