Role OverviewThe Air Permit Writer leads projects through the preparation of permit applications and agency negotiations to ensure optimal permit conditions. This involves working with environmental consultants to negotiate permit details with the TCEQ, EPA, and other environmental agencies. The role requires strong written and oral communications skills, organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and regulatory agencies.
What You Will Do
The Air Permit Writer will assist plant personnel in implementing air permit conditions, manage and track NSR and Title V air permits, coordinate with environmental consultants and agencies, prepare PBRs, and assist in the implementation of air permit conditions.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year air compliance and environmental experience, 5+ years of experience in air permitting and air compliance, and knowledge of the State of Texas and Federal air regulations and their impact on the Chemical Industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 1+ year air compliance and environmental experience
- 5+ years of experience in air permitting and air compliance
- 3+ years air modeling experience
- Knowledge of the State of Texas and Federal air regulations
- Valid US Driver's license
