Role Overview

The Air Quality Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining compliance with federal and Florida air quality regulations. This full-time on-site position is located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base and will support compliance activities at multiple Air Force/Space Force installations in Central Florida.

What You Will Do

Prepare, review, and submit air permit applications, renewals, revisions, amendments, exemptions, and related technical documentation. Conduct routine facility inspections and compliance audits of emission units, air pollution control equipment, monitoring systems, and recordkeeping practices.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of air quality compliance experience. Experience working on or with an Air Force or Space Force Installation is highly desired.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, atmospheric science, or a related technical field
  • At least 3 years of air quality compliance experience, preferably Air Force or other Military installations
  • Demonstrated experience with air permit applications and permit modifications, environmental inspections and compliance audits, regulatory reporting and emissions inventories, emissions calculations and compliance tracking, and federal Clean Air Act programs and Florida air regulations
