Role OverviewThe Aircraft (DHC-8) Avionics Technician Lead is responsible for assisting and providing oversight and leadership to avionics mechanics in the performance of their assigned duties. The role involves inspecting components of avionics equipment, testing equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions, and adjusting or replacing defective components.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include assigning duties to technicians, monitoring tasks for progress and completeness, ensuring the use of approved repair techniques, and accompanying flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair, as well as experience working from blueprint drawings and other incomplete data.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Diploma, GED
- FFCC License with Element 3 or FAA A and P License, Military Occupational Specialty code for Type Model Series aircraft assigned, or ICAO/EASA compliant equivalent Civilian Authority Certificate
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair
- Experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other incomplete data
- CMF 15 aviation MOS series or another military or commercial equivalent to the DHC-8
- Spanish Level L-2, R-2 required in LATAM Programs
- Ability to obtain a US Department of State Security Clearance
