Job Description
Role Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining company aircraft to ensure safe, reliable transportation for company personnel, conducting operations within FAA rules and regulations, company policy and NBAA/VAI industry best practices. The position is part of the Aviation department, which manages the safe operation of all company-owned, contracted, and sub-contracted aviation equipment. The department has a strong focus on safety culture, with every team member responsible for ensuring a safe environment around aviation equipment.

What You Will Do

Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections and activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of the aircraft. Maintains aircraft logbooks, associated paperwork, and Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program. Ensures cleanliness of aircraft routinely and maintains valid licenses and certificates required to perform assigned maintenance duties.

The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of industry safety practices and be able to demonstrate them. Experience working on turbine-powered aircraft and/or complex helicopter mechanics/maintainers is preferred.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment or luggage
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts on an alternating monthly schedule
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate across the aviation department
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts
  • Ability to perform elevated work with fall protection
  • Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces
  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to acquire a Class D Chauffer's license
