Role OverviewPerforms structural and mechanical preventative maintenance and repair on Airport buildings. Works under the supervision of the Airport Building Maintenance & Structure Superintendent. The work is performed indoors and outdoors, often in extreme weather conditions.
What You Will Do
Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on structural and mechanical systems, including building walls, installing drywall, paint, flooring, and HVAC systems. Troubleshoots and replaces defective electrical and electronic equipment. Performs snow removal and de-icing operations during snow storms.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, heating, and air conditioning principles and techniques. They will be able to communicate effectively with others and understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions.
Requirements
- Graduation from High School or possession of GED
- Three to five years of experience in building maintenance and/or any of the skilled trades
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B)
- On call status
