Role OverviewThis position supports the Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site facility in Mobile, Alabama. The Industrial/Airport Firefighter-EMT provides advanced fire, rescue, emergency medical, and hazardous materials response services in a 24/7/365 aviation manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
Respond to all actual, potential, or simulated aircraft, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), structural and EMS incidents and make decisions determining the best method of response.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be certified as an NFPA 1001 Firefighter II in Alabama or have ability to obtain reciprocity, and certified as an Alabama EMT-Basic (or higher) at time of hire.
Requirements
- High school graduate or possess a GED certificate
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certification
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification in Alabama or ability to obtain reciprocity
- NFPA 472, Hazardous Materials-Operations certification in Alabama or ability to obtain reciprocity
- NFPA 600 (Industrial Fire Brigades), NFPA 1710, and NFPA 460 certification
- NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter certification by the State of Alabama with current annual live-fire burn, or ability to obtain reciprocity
- Alabama EMT-Basic (or higher) certification at time of hire and ability to maintain EMS certification for the duration of employment
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy
- Pass company background/ criminal history records check
