Role OverviewThe Airport Terminal Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day supervision of Duty Managers and vendors in each terminal to ensure compliance with regulations and Service Level Agreements. The primary role will be to strategically coordinate airline equipment maintenance, service, and passenger assistance operations, develop effective operating plans, and drive the TBITEC training and continuous improvement programs for their assigned Terminal(s).
What You Will Do
The Terminal Manager will work closely with the Director of Terminal Operations, the Executive Director, LAWA, DHS, CBP, and the TBITEC Stakeholder group to foster effective working relationships. They will oversee the documentation and resolution of all equipment and service issues on a timely basis, schedule vendor services, and develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance System, training program, inventory control system, and quality assurance program.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years' experience as an Operations Director, Maintenance Manager, Station Manager, or Assistant Manager of a FAA Part 139 Certified Airport, Airport System, Airport Terminal, or Airline Station. They will have demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of Terminal Management, including Operations, Maintenance, Environment, Finance, Public Relations, and Human Resources Management.
Requirements
- At least four years' experience as the Operations Director, Maintenance Manager, Station Manager or Assistant Manager of a FAA Part 139 Certified Airport, Airport System, Airport Terminal, or Airline Station
- Demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of Terminal Management
- Proven ability to interface with Government officials
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to read and evaluate budgets, financial statements, and P&L reports
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to review/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS office tools
- Prior experience supervising an equipment and/or facilities maintenance operation is a plus
- Local demonstrated experience at LAX will be considered a plus
