Role Overview

This is an opportunity to become a member of an extraordinary organization and a dynamic team at either Fresno Yosemite International or Chandler Executive Airports. As a State Peace Officer, you will perform the full range of public safety functions, including airport law enforcement, emergency medical response, and upholding TSA security measures.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities involve patrolling airport property to prevent crime and detect hazards, responding to calls for service, investigating crime scenes, and apprehending violators. You will also issue citations, make arrests, collaborate with federal partners, and assist other law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a California Law Enforcement Basic Academy approved by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training within three years of appointment date
  • Possession of a current and valid California State Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Basic Certificate
  • Possession of an Intermediate Certificate, or higher, issued by the State of California Department of Justice Commission on Peace Officer Standard and Training (P.O.S.T.)
  • Possession and continued maintenance of a valid Class C California Driver’s License at time of appointment
