Ammunition & Explosives Logistics Specialist

Requirements

• Provide daily recommendations for safe stowage of munitions and give daily recommendations for proper security of stowed munitions.
• Prepare proper documentation for daily ammunition and ordnance shipments and inform the military of best practices when packaging munitions and demolition shipments per established safety procedures and instructions.
• View all Unit Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA) allowances daily and provide recommendations on effectively allocating ammunition and explosives between units/detachments to support missions training.
• Accompany military personnel approximately three (3) times per month to offsite locations to inventory ordnance.
• Realign ammunitions and explosives from one command to another via DD1348 and make preparations for disposal of ammunition and explosives by processing DD1348 for reshipment to the originating command or issue to another command for final disposal.
• Have proven experience with Ordnance Information Systems- Retail (OIS-R) in a professional setting, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft operation systems
