Role OverviewThis is a hands-on position overseeing kennel and grooming staff in daily responsibilities. The Kennel Manager assists the Practice Manager in the application of all practice policies, procedures, and checklists. The Kennel Manager provides the highest quality of care for the animals entrusted to the practice, record keeping, inventory, staffing needs, cleanliness of facility, and the safety and security of the kennel staff and animals.
What You Will Do
The Kennel Manager will check animals in and out, record and organize belongings, supervise animal care, perform baths and nail trimmings, and provide training to kennel staff. They will also take clients on kennel tours, work with the Inventory Specialist, and mediate kennel staff conflicts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of kennel experience and be able to develop and manage the staffing schedule, coordinate kennel staff meetings, and problem-solve when issues arise.
