Job Description
The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a Bilingual Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will be based at Newton Bateman Elementary School on the North/Northwest Side of Chicago. The teacher will be responsible for instructing, tracking, and disciplining students with diverse learning needs. The position requires a valid teaching license, a bachelor's degree, and completion of CPS's online application process.
Requirements
Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
Bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
Completion of CPS online application and teaching profile
Physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
