Job Description
The Class Size Teacher Assistant will assist in the supervision of students, provide security functions, and perform related duties under the general direction of the school principal and the immediate supervision of a teacher. The position is responsible for supporting the instruction of pupils, maintaining the orderly arrangement of classrooms, and assisting with tasks such as photocopying and duplicating educational materials.

Requirements

  • Assists in the supervision of students during lunchroom and playground activities
  • Provides security functions within the school
  • Assist students in understanding and completing classroom assignments
  • Operate audiovisual equipment
  • Provides tutoring services to students
  • Assist in collecting and grading students' homework assignments
  • Assist in supervising the loading and unloading of students on school busses
  • Collect daily classroom absentee reports and contact parents and guardians
