Role Overview

Collaborate with healthcare team, patients, and family members to coordinate and ensure timely delivery of required workflow, services, and tasks. Support positive patient healthcare outcomes, increased patient/healthcare team satisfaction, and improved inpatient throughput.

What You Will Do

Perform timely and accurate denial communications, clarify communications, collect additional information, and document appeal activity according to department standards.

Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED
  • 2+ years of hospital or physician office billing or Utilization Management/Case Management department experience
  • Experience in managed care (Preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability
  • Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment
