As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on support for Electronic trading systems, respond to system related user queries, and deploy releases to test and production systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a directly related field
  • Two (2) years of related technical experience including Python, PERL, UNIX and SQL
  • Experience supporting electronic trading platforms utilizing Windows and scripting skills
  • Experience working on Real time trading systems
  • Demonstrated problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing client queries and problems
  • Demonstrated communications skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels within the organization as well as with clients
  • Demonstrated documentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Workstation
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of Network elements
  • Demonstrated scripting skills, including Python, PERL and Shell
  • RDBMS methodology and SQL scripting
  • Experience with MS SQL Server
  • Managing, owning and delivering high quality projects to objectives and within time scales
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, application integration and testing
  • Experience with Java
  • C++ experience in a Microsoft Windows development environment, utilizing object-oriented programming techniques
  • Database design and development utilizing SQL and relational database techniques
