Job Description
Catalyst Labs is a talent agency with a vertical in Applied AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science. They partner with clients to drive the next wave of applied intelligence and are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to help architect the foundation of next-generation Mind Architecture. The role involves designing graph-based architecture, developing novel embeddings, and integrating structured graph reasoning with neural retrieval.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in AI or ML engineering
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context engineering, and LLM eval frameworks
  • Strong Python expertise
  • Experience with graph databases or graph-based retrieval
  • Background in document understanding, embeddings, or multimodal context assembly
  • Familiarity with AWS, distributed systems, and scalable backend architecture
