Job Description
Catalyst Labs is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to help architect the foundation of next-generation Mind Architecture. The role involves designing and evolving graph-based architecture, developing novel embeddings and contextual retrieval methods, and pushing the performance of frontier LLMs. The team is working on a system that powers digital minds, allowing users to interact with living, interactive identities that carry their voice, judgment, and worldview into every conversation.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in AI or ML engineering
  • Proven track record of building and deploying ML-powered systems
  • Strong Python expertise, including asynchronous programming and performance tuning
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context engineering, and LLM eval frameworks
  • Deep practical understanding of how LLMs reason and how to structure inputs
