Job Description
Catalyst Labs is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to help architect the foundation of next-generation Mind Architecture, a system that powers digital minds to learn, reason, and express individuality. The role involves designing graph-based architecture, developing novel embeddings, and building next-generation retrieval-augmented generation systems. The ideal candidate has 4-6+ years of experience in AI or ML engineering, with a proven track record of building and deploying ML-powered systems, and strong Python expertise.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in AI or ML engineering
  • Proven track record of building and deploying ML-powered systems
  • Strong Python expertise, including asynchronous programming, event loop optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context engineering, and LLM eval frameworks
  • Deep practical understanding of how LLMs reason, how to structure inputs, and how to measure improvement
