Applied AI Lead - Infrastructure & Deployment

The Applied AI Lead - Infrastructure & Deployment will own the engine room for the AI function, standing up AI servers from bare metal, keeping them running, secure, and fixing them when they break. This is a build-and-run role, where you will operate the infrastructure so that what you build keeps working without you in the room.

What You Will Do

Primary responsibilities include standing up local AI hosting, deploying on the secure cloud, owning security and accreditation engineering, instrumenting everything you run, building the tooling everyone uses, and shipping only what's been cleared.

Requirements

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, or site-reliability engineering
• 3+ years in MLOps or model serving, with recent hands-on self-hosted or LLM-inference/training/tuning work
• Server-level system administration and security engineering for self-hosted and air-gapped systems
• Cloud development capability (developer, not just user); working fluency with open-weight models, quantization, and sanctioned endpoints
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience or equivalent combination of both
• Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, communication, and writing skills
