Job Description
The Apprehension Officer performs various care and security activities in connection with juveniles in custody of the agency. The officer observes conduct and behavior of juveniles, conducts investigations to aid in apprehension, and coordinates with law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

  • At least four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in the counseling, rehabilitation, or custodial care and treatment of criminal offenders, inmates, prisoners, or juvenile offenders.
  • Ability to use mechanical restraints.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice Information (CJIS) System and Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI processes).
  • Ability to make group presentation for educational purposes.
