Job Description
Southern California Public Radio (SCPR) is seeking two apprentice news clerks to assist in editorial, broadcast, and digital production tasks for the show AirTalk. The position is a six-month temporary, part-time assignment with an option to extend up to a year following a six-month review.

Requirements

  • Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing skills and knowledge of AP style guidelines
  • Working knowledge of audio equipment and digital editing software
  • Solid research skills and experience
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet changing deadlines
