Job Description
The Gunsmith II will be responsible for Inspecting, repairing, rebuilding, overhauling and Armament functions in one or more of the following commodities: pistols, rifles, automatic weapons, and other arms, as well as other types of weapon’s systems or other equipment maintained on APS-3 program with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Repairs and alters firearms to blueprint standards and client specifications using hand tools, grinders planers, millers, etc.
  • Installs, repairs or replaces parts such as gun sights, pistol grips, recoil pads, decorative pieces using screws and hand tools.
  • Rebores barrels as needed.
  • Fabricates and/or refinishes wooden stocks to client specifications.
  • Tests and recalibrate firearms as necessary.
