Role OverviewThe Aquatics Director is responsible for planning, development, supervision, and administration of all aquatic programming at the Mukwonago YMCA. They supervise aquatics staff, develop strategies for recruitment and training, and ensure programs meet community needs. The Director also models relationship-building skills, maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations, and manages the program budget.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring daily care of members, supervising aquatics staff, conducting trainings, and monitoring pool operations to adhere to health and safety regulations. The Director also serves as a member of the staff leadership team, participates in meetings, and assists with annual fundraising campaigns.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
- One to two years of related experience
- Current Lifeguard (American Red Cross or YMCA) certification
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification
- First Aid certification
- AED certification
- Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- Certified Pool Operator certification (or willingness to obtain within six months of hire)
- Strong organizational abilities
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people
