Role OverviewThe Architect Engineer Analyst plays a key role in sustaining the integrity, alignment, and completeness of all architecture artifacts for VA EISS and integrated systems. The role provides cross-cutting architectural and engineering support for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission.
What You Will Do
Maintains architectural documentation, supports compliance with VA architecture standards, ensures traceability across systems, services, and data, and assists Product and Portfolio teams with backlog management for architecture-related requirements. Maintains and updates architectural documentation across all required Enterprise Architecture domains.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree
- 7-10 years' experience
- Experience maintaining architecture documentation across multiple domains (data, business)
- Experience supporting SDLC and Agile/Scrum processes
- Experience supporting ATO, compliance, architectural review, and adherence to federal standards (NIST, VA EA, ASG)
- Experience collaborating with product teams, system teams, and engineers to ensure architectural consistency and alignment
