Job Description
The Construction Administrator reports to a Managing Director and is responsible for scope, schedule, and budget. They work closely with a team of in-house architects, interior designers, planners, landscape architects, and consultants on multiple projects with a variety of project diversity throughout the Southeast. The successful candidate must be a leader, self-starter, organized, flexible, and possess a strong work ethic.
Requirements
Ability to work within a team environment.
Handle multiple projects concurrently.
Travel to project sites throughout South Carolina and/or North Carolina.
Maintain correspondence with consultants for submittals and schedules.
Ability to work with multiple teams and manage project schedules simultaneously.
Technical understanding and ability to effectively read construction documents.
Ability to accurately record shop drawings, contracts, RFIs, etc.
Understanding of the design and procurement processes.
Ability to accurately review payment applications.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to work through applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques for project activities to meet the project requirements.
Ability to cultivate a professional presence through competence, reliability, honesty, integrity, respect for others, positivity, and thoughtful listening.
Graphic presentation skills, including hand drawing and computer rendering.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Deltek Vision, AIA contract documents, and Revit.
