Job Description
HDR is seeking a NY/NJ Bridge Inspection Program Lead to head our NY/NJ Bridge Inspection Program. The role involves leading the continued development of our bridge and tunnel inspection program, managing area bridge and tunnel inspection programs, and performing Quality Control reviews for bridge inspection submissions. The candidate will also lead bridge inspection teams, develop inspection reports, perform load ratings and other structural calculations. The position requires a valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and physical ability to perform field inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 10 years bridge design experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • Proven hands-on experience in all aspects of bridge design projects
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
  • Project management skills desirable
  • Strong communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
  • Must be comfortable being viewed as a technical expert in engineering analysis and design
