Role OverviewThe Arena Associate will support ice arena related activities, ensuring the ice and arena facility is properly maintained, and providing excellent customer support and service.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include general arena maintenance, ice maintenance, sharpening skates, processing payments, and providing customer service.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the Zamboni machine, maintaining cleanliness, and working independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a Zamboni or similar machinery is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must be highly motivated to learn new skills
- Must have knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and custodial duties
- Must have the ability to supervise and communicate to rink participants
- Must be able to solve problems as they arise and be able to perform tasks without supervision
- Must be able to assume a positive and active role at the rink
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
