Role Overview

Armed Security Officers will provide security services for the Center for Disaster Preparedness contract. They will follow post orders, maintain compliance with policies and procedures, and control access to the facility. They will also perform static and roving patrols, identify and correct security violations, and initiate necessary reports.

What You Will Do

The Armed Security Officer will perform a variety of security services, including controlling access to the facility, enforcing systems of personnel identification, inspecting packages and vehicles, and monitoring facility protection devices and alarms.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in security, civilian law enforcement, or an equivalent position with the Armed Forces. They must also possess an Alabama Armed Security Officer License, Certification in the use of weapons, and a valid Drivers' License.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of three years of experience in security, civilian law enforcement, or an equivalent position with the Armed Forces
  • Alabama Armed Security Officer License
  • Certification in the use of weapons
  • Alabama Wear and Carry Permit
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
