Role OverviewThe Art Director will lead the visual execution of assigned projects, imagining ways to tell stories visually, presenting visual ideas, and overseeing the creation of great mood boards, inspired type treatments, and exceptional color palettes. The role is hybrid, reporting to the Director, Design, and working in the office 3 days per week.
What You Will Do
The Art Director will contribute to and oversee excellent design work on client and internal projects, translating conceptual and strategic ideas into impactful visual solutions, and mentoring Designers and Senior Designers.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional work experience in the art industry
- 5+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma) and modern digital publishing platforms such as Webflow
- An experienced creative portfolio demonstrating mastery of design principles - specifically typography, grid systems, layout hierarchy, color theory, and art direction for both digital and print media
- Experience managing designers including delegating tasks, giving constructive feedback, and overseeing visual quality
- Experience commissioning and directing external creative partners including photographers, illustrators, animators, and external development teams
- Experience presenting visual strategies and creative direction to executive-level clients and company partners
- Visual research skills, with a rich, active mental library of contemporary and historical art, design, photography, and interactive digital trends
