Role OverviewPeraton is seeking an Artillery Domain Test Engineer Advisor for our Picatinny Arsenal, NJ office. The successful candidate will devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of product in conjunction with product design and specifications.
What You Will Do
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have detailed knowledge of and experience in software testing. Preferred: Field Artillery knowledge with experience in a Fire Direction Center controlling M109A6, M109A7, M777A2s, or Digitized M119s or as a cannon crew member on the same systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with PhD, in lieu of degree 16 years of related work experience.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance
- Must have detailed knowledge of and experience in software testing
- A+ Hardware Certification
- Ability to evaluate software code according to specifications
- Ability to code and interpret multiple programing languages
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of operating systems
- Experience in automated software testing
- Proficient in development of test procedures and cases based upon requirements
- Good understanding of software design
