ASL Fluent Substitute Support Staff - Winsted

We are seeking ASL fluent staff for Per Diem positions in the Winsted area. This position supports individuals who are Dually Diagnosed and use ASL to communicate. The role involves assisting individuals in daily activities and fostering community belonging.

What You Will Do

Assist individuals in daily activities including hygiene functions, implement behavioral goals and teaching strategies, supervise food preparation, provide active treatment, model positive adult roles, foster community belonging, and document case notes and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3 to 6 months-related experience and /or training, or human service training certificate
• Valid Connecticut Driver's License
• Ability to obtain Department of Developmental Services - Medication Certification within six months of hire
• Ability to obtain Public Service License valid for the state of Connecticut (if applicable)
• CPR and First Aid certification
