Role OverviewThis is a skilled position controlling production and load out of materials produced in plants. The plant operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of plant equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
What You Will Do
Reads work schedules and determines sequence of operations. Operates plant according to production schedule using appropriate materials. Monitor material operation to ensure quality of mix. Performs basic maintenance and service on plant as required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ability to weld using an arc welder or cutting torch is preferred. Cleans control house and yard facility daily. Oversees truck scales and the loading of the trucks. Enters production information into computer systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Drivers License required
- CDL a plus
