Asphalt Plant Operator

The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a fixed or mobile asphalt plant. They will coordinate and ensure the safe operation of the plant and its components, provide direction and mentorship to plant ground crew and equipment operators, and adjust manual and computer-aided controls to bring equipment into recommended operating ranges.

What You Will Do

The Asphalt Plant Operator will use a computer system to enter and maintain data, handle dispatch schedules, prepare reports, and respond to email correspondence. They will also assist internal and external customers with ordering, communicate with customers and drivers, and review and process orders to ensure accurate material mixes are being delivered.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in asphalt operations and/or construction industry, with 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers' license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record
• 3-5 years of experience in asphalt operations and/or construction industry
• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers and establish relationships
• Self-directed, hard-working, and highly motivated
• Ability to lead and empower others
• Ability to effectively prioritize, problem-solve, and work under consistent pressure of deadlines
