Job Description
Mercedes-Benz is hiring an Assembly Engineer (Torque) to support the production of luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles, at their Tuscaloosa County site. The engineer will be responsible for delivering tools to the right place at the right time, implementing tooling, and technically managing tools from MB standards and strategies. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related area, and at least three years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related area
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an engineering role in Quality, Series Planning, Supplier Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or QRD
  • Flexibility to support MBUSI needs and demands
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Process capability and statistics working knowledge, along with mathematical skills to understand and analyze numerical information and to make the right conclusions and decisions.
  • Tools and fixtures basic working knowledge
  • Possess very strong problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to convey information and to train others on technical topics
  • Ability to work in a team environment; Willingness to excel and take over responsibilities for own tasks and approaches
