Asset Maintenance Program Manager

The Asset Maintenance Program Manager will manage the District Asset Maintenance Program, supervising employees, communicating, motivating, training, evaluating, planning, and directing work of employees. The position will also involve coordinating and providing direction, support, and training to the asset maintenance contract staff at the Operation Centers and the District Maintenance Office.

What You Will Do

The Asset Maintenance Program Manager will conduct quality assurance field reviews to ensure contractual commitments are being fulfilled and addressed consistently throughout the district. The position will also involve participating in statewide AM meetings, addressing issues, and advising higher level district and/or Central Office managers on problems or policies related to contract administrative issues.

The successful candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and terminology, construction plans, contract specifications, and contract administration, budget administration, and roadway construction and maintenance contracting procedures. The candidate will also have skills in using engineering tools, equipment, and/or instruments, conflict resolution, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts, claims, or time extensions, and processing contractor vendor payments through various computer applications.

Requirements

• A valid Class “E” driver’s license is required.
• Must obtain certification in Maintenance of Traffic-Advanced Level within one year and maintain it.
• Must obtain Herbicide License within 12 months and maintain it.
• Must be a United States (U.S.) citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
