Job Description
Role Overview

As an Asset Manager within the Division of Asset Management, you will be responsible for monitoring a portfolio of over 10,000 units of affordable rental housing, working directly with property owners and other partners ensuring the properties remain affordable, and in good financial and physical condition.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include working with property owners to monitor and analyze financial statements, municipal arrears information, reports on building conditions, and other information to assess project financial and physical health, and identifying properties that require either an enforcement intervention or additional assistance from the City.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and research skills, experience with financial analysis, experience reading legal documents, and a background in affordable housing, asset / property management, or auditing / accounting skills.

Requirements

  • baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
  • high school graduation or equivalent
  • six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
  • at least one year of experience as described in "1" above
