Asset Protection Agent

Responsible for the Asset Protection activities related to the detection, apprehension and processing of shoplifters. Assist store management in maintaining a safe environment for our customers, vendors, and employees. Provide presence and professionalism aimed at de-escalating situations that arise within the store.

What You Will Do

Detects, apprehends and processes shoplifters in accordance with company policies and local laws/regulations. Prepares and submits reports involving investigations and Asset Protection (AP) matters. Researches and archives general liability incidents via C.C.T.V.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Recognizing the required criteria to determine what constitutes shoplifting
• Providing excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills in a work setting
• Documenting work and customer service activities
• Applying strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Demonstrating initiative and self-direction
• Working effectively in a team oriented environment
• Consistently providing friendly and engaging customer service to internal and external customers
• Performing at a high level in a fast paced environment with limited immediate supervision
• Working 10-12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Developing proficiency with WinCo’s C.C.T.V. equipment, locks and door hardware
• Sitting for extended periods
• Performing all tasks efficiently and accurately with confidentiality, honesty and integrity
• Obtaining State or Local certifications as required
• Wearing provided personal protective equipment such as gloves and protective vests
• Traveling daily within a defined geographic area to assigned locations
