Role Overview

The Asset Protection/Safety Investigator is responsible for protecting Navy Exchange assets through investigative strategies and auditing controls to prevent and minimize loss potential. The role involves maintaining surveillance, investigating incidents, and conducting audits. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, adhering to site-specific security procedures, and promoting NEXCOM Loss Prevention Safety programs.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining surveillance, detecting and detaining individuals suspected of shoplifting, investigating incidents of fraud, waste, and abuse, and conducting audits. The role also involves preparing case reports, processing evidence, and conducting research on cash variances and suspicious register transactions.

Requirements

  • 1 year of responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work
  • 1 year of experience in investigative type work, including law enforcement methods and techniques
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Secret Clearance within 6 months of appointment
